(bumping my idea for selfish reasons)

Augment Quote/Order entry to allow for Freight-Included/Delivered pricing with configurable options on how to hit the GL.

Allow for the option to include freight KIN-I-5103

Voted @MikeGross.

But a question about it. This would require you to have a freight cost or estimate ahead of time right? The biggest complaint we seem to get is always "I never know how much it’s going to cost, and can’t even make a guess  " from the end users. (The same ones who can eagle eye point out when a freight charge is “too much” so you know they have a pretty good idea what it’s supposed to be). But I digress…

This would require the use of an estimated freight cost added to the order before it actually happens, right?

There’s an idea for another Idea! Add a little HTML to the reset email.
<code>password no matter what the length is</code>

My only real complaint about the temp passwords is the reset period. They’d be a lot more secure if their valid life was like 30 minutes. More effective too, if users know they’d better get right on that instead of putting it off until they forget!

Yes - correct. It requires some value to be entered. For us this happens a couple of ways. In the US, we have a freight logistics company that has a quick calculator web page for us to use (and it uses our group rates for LTL). If it’s going parcel, we get on the carrier site and estimate. In Europe, we use DHL and these other guys I can’t recall exclusively, so we have a quick & dirty Excel sheet that has rates for estimating.

For me, the harder part is the accounting of it. I made this solution so it doesn’t interfere with any of the standard processing. But someone in accounting has to add a GL Account distribution for the amount of estimated freight to hit the Freight account. All AP invoices and AR Revenue get funneled to that account and at month end it gets zero’d out as either profit or loss against Sales revenue.

Others incur freight expenses on behalf of the customers and simply expense it or build it back into some overall burden calculation. They would want the accounting to go a little differently. I’m not sure what the end solution should look like, but some sort of special Misc Code would work too (assuming a GL Code woudl do the accounting), as long as the customer facing document knew what to do.

Voted.

I’ve also updated the OP post with the Idea links every has added. I’ll try to come back and add any more that are added again later today.

Hmm, seems I read this as what I wanted it to say lol. I was wrong.

This Idea is not about homepage layouts; it’s about app personalizations. Which is a fine idea. But I was looking for one about home page layouts (because I feel like there is one) and misread this Idea instead.

I think you are correct. Maybe it was in last week’s Frideas?

Add me to the list.

Hell yeah I voted.

Aha (pun intended), right you are.

See, when you search, apparently it omits delivered ideas by default.
