We consider the stripping of the setup (1/2 - 2 hrs depending on how
complicated) to be a part of the job's set up time as a whole...the setup
man will punch into the already-completed setup operation and record his
time to strip the setup, strip the top plate if applicable, return tools to
the crib, save his final program to the server and complete and file an
engineering data report (tool usage, operation notes, etc.) Queue time
protects the schedule's integrity during the process.

Our production scheduler asked that I forward the following question related
to job setup and tear down times to the onelist. Any suggestions on
alternative ways to handle tear down time would be appreciated.
