I am hoping someone can help me better understand what tables are used to store what is considered posted to the general ledger. My hope is to make a dashboard similar to the Journal Tracker. Also, how they relate.
I am thinking that the base table would be GLJrnDtl and from there I would want to pull in additional info for these transactions from TranGLC —> PartTran / Other Transaction tables. It looks like GLJrnDtl is not a one to one with TranGLC and that multiple TranGLC lines can relate to one GLJrnDtl line which is making this harder for me.
Can anyone better explain the relationship of these tables, point out if I am missing any major tables, point me to some materials that talks about this in detail (posting engine and transaction hierarchy guides didn’t have much) and/or share any examples of similar BAQs or Dashboards…
