Generate Only Blank Title 109011

Generate makes only the Back end XML appear, doesn't call the actual
report. If you have a bad report dataset RDD or BAQ Report it will still
take your server out.

So, I've noticed this "Generate Only" button that appears usually on a report/print window of E9 and am wondering, what happens when I press this button? If I have had reports take our server out in the past with the print preview button, will this generate only button help us avoid this problem?
