Im running through the Epicor Hands-On for the General Ledger just to make sure im doing everything right in the eyes of Epicor. When i get to the “generate GL accounts” section i end up getting the error in the title, “GL Account is currently being used”. The first weird thing is that im the only user currently logged into our test environment and this is the first time im running this generate after a fresh server reboot. I’ve verified this via session management as well as having my coworker look at the session log in the admin console. Second weird thing is this is a brand new, never before seen GL account that im trying to make. A coworker and i even made sure that the segment values we chose don’t already exist in another chart of account. We reset the task agent multiple times, logged in and out multiple times, refreshed the browser, deleted the entire COA and started over but still getting the error. Another weird thing is that if i preview the generate GL accounts, that prints out fine exactly how you’d expect with the segments i defined 55555-22-333. We even tried running generate on the existing COA in our test env but that also stopped at the same error. i found a related epiusers post (seen here) but it was never resolved.
Are we doing something wrong or is the Hands-On walkthrough missing crucial data or something like that? I apologize for adding so many pictures but i figured they were helpfull…
