There should be a setting in the RDP app on the scanner to fit to screen. We have CK5 scanners and we are doing the same thing. I don't have it in front of me now, but there are options for the RDP sessions. If memory serves we correct we have almost all of them checked. There are only a couple settings so you can try each of them. You will want to log out of the RDP from the server for settings to take effect on the next connection otherwise it will keep the old settings.

Am I missing something on the handheld setup?  We have Intermec CK3X scanners and an RDP server setup.  I have an icon on the RDP server to launch the handheld screen.  This all works fine but when I connect the handheld to the RDP server it displays the upper left corner of the windows screen and then you need to try to move around the screen and center it on the HH application.

Is there a better way to do this?
