GL Accounts blank after upgrade, should they be filled?

Even though we did our upgrade a couple years ago Accounting has brought to my attention that several GL Account fields are blank under Product Groups in GL Control Maintenance. See screenshot below.

I believe these are new(er) accounts that didn’t exist in our E9 environment. I also think they may be for the Project module which we don’t use. The question is should these be filled in even if we don’t use them for anything? I can’t see any harm in adding a suspense account there (5999-0-0). Nothing noticeable has blown up over the years but Accounting likes crossing their Ts and dotting their Is and I’m good with that.

This is why it’s called a hierarchy! IF there is an account in a specific GL Control (Product Group for example), then it takes precedence over the next level. The least specific is the Company GL Control which cannot be blank.

Also, some accounts are used for specific modules and if you don’t use those modules, they are not required either. At the company level, we would set that to a suspense account to make sure nothing was hitting it.
