Global alert messages Vantage 6.10.504

idealy this script is a link to the alert, many virusscanners detect
this as a virus (bad filename)

I'm not familiar with the .vdl extension. At least one website suggests that
it may be a virus.

is attaching a file called "Alert.vdl" which probably is not in ASCII format.
You can search for a MIME decoder and paste the text into it to see what the
resulting file would be.

What are you using for an SMTP server?

Sendmail sends the message fine, but Exim creates a bunch of garbage. I
forget exactly why, but the attachment is not up to standard. I am on 6.1
too and have decided to wait for 8.XX which I have to assume has it
corrected.
