I was finally able to get by using these:
Constants.FiscalYear and Constants.FiscalPeriod

Hi,

Anyone know how E9 keeps track of the current fiscal year/period? Table/fields used?

An old V6 report used GLSyst table fields CurrentFiscalYear and CurrentFiscalPeriod.
Those fields are no longer available in the table in E9.
Been looking thru the data dictionary but so far I haven't been able to find anything like those fields in E9.

There is FiscalYR, FiscalPer, and FiscalCal, is that what you need?

I looked at the Fiscal tables but I didn't see how the system determines the current FY/FP.
I also looked at GLBookPer.PeriodClosed but there are past periods not closed.

Bruce I haven't looked at it closely but check the transglc table as well

For transactions, this information is in the TranGLC table, as noted earlier. That threw me when we first went to Epicor 9 also. The fiscal month and year fields in most of the tables that have them, if not all, are always 0 in 9. Some of the time for BAQs and customized forms, we looked at the fiscal calendar and figured out the period from there. It can be a challenge to pull that data from the TranGLC, especially for people who haven't looked into it much yet. Of course if you use a calendar month it is much easier to find the fiscal month.

Yes, I've become familiar with TranGLC for transactions
(It was so much easier when each table had it's own GL fields).

Anyway GLSyst is something different - there is only one row in the table.
And the fields GLSyst.CurrentFiscalYear / GLSyst.CurrentFiscalPeriod might be unique to V6.

Unfortunately, the way the report was originally written, I'd need corresponding values for these in E9.

I last looked at the FiscalPer table.
Thinking the first FiscalPeriod that isn't closed would work.
But... not so due to periods not being closed consistently.
