So the company im working at purchased handheld scanners (Zebra Model: TC520L) and has them deployed with the handheld version of kinetic for warehousing. The issue we are running into is that we can’t get the smart barcodes to work. Unfortunately I didn’t work at the company when they visited Insights this year, but apparently there was a fellow there that walked people through how to set them up. Does anyone have any idea about how to do it or who i can contact for help?
Biscit has their help files open to the web, so you can go here and there is a bunch of information. The Barcode template information that you are looking for is here.
One thing I will note, is (I believe, I actually could be wrong reading the doc now) that the multi field scan template is screen specific and not universal, so it doesn’t work everywhere. So if you’re having issues finding the settings for whatever you are doing, make sure that the screen you are trying to set up supports multi field barcodes. But that’s just been our experience, although we haven’t dug into it that much.

If you already have your templates set, then you may need to configure your scan wedge.
Assuming you’re running at least EKW 5.0 it should be simple.
You’ll need security manager credentials.
Settings > Scanner > (all the way at the bottom) Import Profile.
Say yes to the message and then test again.
If that’s not the issue, you may need to configure the templates which you do from Templates section under the Scanner Settings.
