I left my PC on over night, and this morning I noticed the fans were going a little harder than they should have with no programs open. I checked the task manager, and noticed 10 instances of “Epicor.exe (32 bit)” were running, each using between 0.5% and 3% of my CPU, according to Task Manager.
I didn’t have any instances open, but I was using client modules launched from the browser last night, and I could have easily opened 10 instances. I was using the Functions Maintenance and the classic BAQ Designer, so this morning, I tested opening those clients from the browser. It looks like the Functions Maintenance is fine, but the BAQ Designer leaves a hanging process after exiting. They’re still going after killing the Session Manager, Edge Agent, and Kinetic Tray. Has anyone else experience this?
Now that I know about it, it’s not such a big deal, I can just make sure I kill those processes, but it does seem to be eating quite a lot of CPU power. This image show’s the 2 processes using almost 10% of my CPU between them, and this is a 16-core Ryzen 5950x
