Happy BIrthday Gang

APPLAUSE to the group founder…..

Mike England created the group as way for us all to network together.
She also collaborated in founding all the regional user groups in 1995.
If anyone also remembers, we could send her a fax-blast Group Happy Birthday !!

Thank you in advance,
Calvin Dekker

Not sure who created the group but it was originally Vantage OneList (vantage@onelist.com<mailto:vantage@onelist.com>). I believe eGroups came a few years later, 2000 or so, that’s when I see it showing up in the footers with advertising – support our sponsors.

It must be the eGroups start date since the leaders didn't officially join until later. Still, anything on the Internet that predates the .com bust that's still going is quite impressive.

The Vantage group was created on this day in 1998.

Interesting.  Thanks for pointing it out.   Did the eGroups group start date get incorporated into the Yahoo group?  I did not join until 1999 or early 2000 so am a little fuzzy on the prior history.

I took a spin back through the archived months in 2000.  Wow!  A lot of names there of people who really helped me a lot in the early days converting DCD Classic to Vantage 4.0.  Also a lot of names I don’t see anymore  L .  People move on – hopefully to bigger better things.
