Has anyone ever edited their rsreportserver.config file for SSRS - Any tips or tricks? Do I need to recycle any service after that?

Hello All,

I am looking to make use of SSRS outside of Epicor. Do you know if I can just modify the report server config file (I am changing one attribute to “true”)?

Is it going to bring down my printing or hang the service?

Looking for anyone with SSRS expertise or experience here.

Thanks in advance for any effort or consideration.

Hi Taylor,
Just checked on the installation guide of epicor (10.2.500) and there is a section about adjusting 2 settings on that file. It does not say anything about restarting the reporting services service, but I suggest you better read/confirm from official Microsoft SSRS website/forum instead.

One love, yeah I looked at that article and many others. I guess you just do it and hope like hell it’s fine.

Can take a copy of the file too so that we have a backup.
