Position Summary
The IT Manager is responsible for assisting outside consultants with implementing and supporting strategic initiatives; maintaining stability and integrity of The VMC Group’s information tools and technology infrastructure across multiple sites.

Job Responsibilities

ERP System Management
• Works with ERP consulting teams to assist and provide internal support with all ERP system strategic initiatives
• Provides high level support to end users with respect to system security transactions
• Delivers ongoing employee systems development and training programs
• Ensures system performance and reliability

Research Technology Opportunities & Network Administration
• Assist departments and project teams with formulating efficient and productive technology solutions to streamline processes
• Proactively monitors, maintains, supports and implements strategic initiatives with respect to network infrastructure
• Responsible for WAN network security devices
• Responsible for website hosting, email message flow, domain registrations and DNS configurations

Hardware Service Management
• Maintains software license compliance
• Proactively and strategically plans and identifies purchasing of any IT equipment and services to support the overall business plan and objectives
• Responsible for invoicing and maintaining vendor relationships

Operational Technical Support & Help Desk
• Ensures timely set up and maintenance of user creation, assigned equipment and licenses
• Coordinates with Human Resources for current activity of new hires and terminations of employment
• Ensures IT needs of all internal customers are met proactively, timely, consistently and to completion
• Identifies and resolves issues with respect to hardware, software, or users

Maintains integrity of all Systems
• Proactively facilitates the security and integrity of systems upon termination of employment or an employee’s transition to another department
• Proactively maintains integrity of the company’s confidential data

Manage the department
• Manage department staff with respect to strategic and proactive hiring, performance management, disciplinary action and termination of employment practices.
• Identifies and provides coaching, mentoring and training to enhance employee professional development and add value to the company.

Special Projects
• Assist with confidential and executive reporting initiatives

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Office 365 administration
• Windows Administration
• SAN Technology; SQL Server;SSRS & Crystal Reports
• Epicor ERP Technical Administration; Relational Database Administration

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong sense of risk management and proactive approach toward risk mitigation
• Critical logical thinking and creative problem solving skills combined with sound judgment
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment

Minimum Qualifications
• 5-7 years’ experience working in various IT functions in a manufacturing environment
• 3 years’ experience managing an IT team in a manufacturing environment
• 3 years administering an Epicor 9/10 ERP system
• BS Degree in Information Technology
• Travel 10% - 20% NJ, NY and Texas locations
