Today I needed to make an update and attempted to just update the existing custom layer “SalesOrderEnty_08Aug2024” but could not get my updates to show. I had published my changes so not sure why it also shows “Has Draft”.
To get around this, I made a copy of the custom layer to a new name and it now shows my changes. The new layer only shows “Published” so assuming the “Has Draft” was causing an issue on my prior layer.
We are currently on 2024.1.10 so I won’t have that option. I will have to wait until we upgrade to 2024.2 in Mar/Apr as we won’t upgrade until Flex 2.
In the meantime I did get around my issue by copying and creating a new layer. I have other custom layers that show both a Draft and Published so I would like to clean these up eventually.
Then I proceeded to add the changes I needed to make, saved and published from the Layer. My preview is now showing the changes, however the Draft is back. Seems Saving and Publishing from the layer is creating the draft and only way to get rid of it is to publish from App Studio.
I have definitely seen “Has Draft” before when there wasn’t a draft. I should have reported as a bug but just didn’t have the energy to deal with Support for a non-critical issue…
