How to Add Credit Card Surcharge to Invoice at the Time of Credit Processing

What is the best way to add a 3.5% Credit Card Fee to a sales order Automatically.

We have added a Misc Charge that applies 3.5% - however we have to “Remember” to add the misc charge.

Any suggestions welcome,

Anyone have suggestions for surcharging during invoice payment instead of during sales order? As I understand from the above thread, surcharges are only added if the customer does not pay at time of service and only if paying by credit card.
