On the Vantage server find the "Proenv" program (should be in the
Progress Installation in the programs menu.
If the Training database is running shut it down.
Start the Proenv program
1 Type in: prompt (press enter)
2 Type in: Cd c:\epicor\train803\db (press enter)
3 Type in: prorest mfgsys c:\educational_db_path\educational_db.file
(press enter)
Restart the Training database
In 2 this is the path to where you are restoring the database,
technically you can restore this database into any other database
(the test database for example), so be careful to have the correct
database (not to restore over the live database for example)
In 3 the c:\educational_db_path\educational_db.file this is the path
and file name of the file you are restoring.
Sometimes you may get errors on step 3, if for example the database
is still running, or if the existing database isn't compatible with
the restored database, in which case you can delete what is in that
directory then do the restore.
