HowTo make blank page for custom form

Hi All

Wanted to ask a question, as i have read alot but about making blank pages in Epicor and i dont erally undertand, I have been doing a few modifications to our supplier pages, adding a new sub page with a new form to capture more data from our suppliers. This got me thinking how do i make a complete new page.

We have a few things that we do on spreadsheets that would fit great within Epicor is this possible and if so is there a document/pdf on this.

Cheers

You can make forms based on the UD tables included in Epicor which you can then use to store this data.

You can set up a menu item in menu maintenance to point to one of these forms and then customize it to do what you want. To get started, you can go into Menu Maintenance and select the folder you want something to be under and select new menu. You need to fill out the menu ID with something unique and fill in a name. Order sequence must be unique within that menu (integer) under Program Type you want Menu Item and for program, you can choose Ice.UI.UD01Enter.dll (assuming you aren’t using UD table 01, if so choose a different one)

You’ll have to exit Epicor and come back in but then your menu item will be available. You can then go in and customize to your heart’s content. Hopefully this is enough to get you started.

It is also possible to create a blank form from a dashboard assembly then modify it from there.

There are step by step instructions in the Epicor Customization Users guide for the version you are on (Classic). In earlier versions of the online help there were pdf copies that you could download, looking at the latest version they don’t appear to be there. If you are struggling to find the information in the help then you can try on Epicweb here You will need access to Epicweb
