Identify which subassemblies used a part

The part where used report will show where it's supposed to be used (ie: on a BOM). If you want to find out where it WAS used, I'd suggest looking at inventory transactions.

Try the Where Used report...under Engineering --> reports

not sure if this will work with subassemblies...

Why not create a BAQ; something like this:

for each ECOMtl where ( ECOMtl.MtlPartNum = 'MyPartNum') no-lock .
