Do the images inserted into a Kinetic Layout ever get refreshed? How often, if ever?
If I point to an image that is a chart, and that chart image is updated daily (by an external process), will the Kinetic Layout also update?
In my limited testing, the layout does not pick up the new image unless I specifically edit the layout and reselect the image from the network folder.
It would be nice if we could define the refresh interval, like hourly, daily, weekly, or whatever.
You can use a picture control sourced from FileStore (Image Maintence)
That is for application studio. I am looking at the regular kinetic homepage “Layout”. You can add pictures there. But you don’t get much control over the picture settings.
right. I think you can paste a web url.
Edit - nevermind that seems to download and embed static image as far as i can tell
could probably use website control.
If I could point the website control to an internal webpage on a network folder, without having to actually host a webpage, that would be the best!

EDIT: the widget doesnt allow file:// urls at edit mode but it might not care at runtime. in other words if you get the in the layout xml or whatever by editing the exported layout, etc. iframes are VERY permissive in kinetic so who knows(?)
