Indirect Labor Code

Hey everyone

Does anyone on the forum know why, even though I have deactivated some indirect labor codes in the list, I can still see them and select them when I query them in the MES?

I need them to no longer be visible to prevent them from being selected. What options do I have?

@MEMFabila , Epicor is notorious for adding an Inactive field to a table but not adding it as a filter where it is used. You will have to edit the combo to filter on Inactive = false to get what you want.

But I can not modify the search option.

Oh, you are in the search. I would create one of the other types of searches (Named Search, Quick Search, etc) and make that the default.

I don’t know how to do that, but you should be able to find something on this site if you search.

Article I found on making a Quick Search.

Just an FYI… There is an “Idea” out there for Epicor to actually wire up the “Inactive” checkbox. As of right now it doesn’t do anything.

Idea was entered on 6/15/2022… so… you know…

Actually, it looks like they fixed this in latest versions.

Below is the IndirectCode Search in MES, Start Indirect Activity. You can see this is a base event… and the filter is there. (image from 2024.2.4 - PILOT).

I just tested and it is filtering the inactive codes from my search.

I then went to our LIVE MES (2024.1.15) and it is working there as well.

Not sure when this kicked in… but seems to be working in more current versions.

Thanks everyone
That is good news but Unfortunately we have 2023.25.1 version and it still doesn’t work.

Currently I already have the quick search working, only now I need to do the quick search for each area. I mean If the worker belongs to Area X, it should show a list of indirects only for that area.

The question is: How can I do that?
