Inexpensiver printers for small labels that work with bartender?

We need to start pushing attaching vendor pack slips to receipt entry (a la @utaylor s solution). We already have the attachment process set up for outgoing pack slips because we can print the barcodes on our reports. But since we need to scan in incoming documents that we don’t have control over, we want to print a small (1"X2" or similar) label that they can stick onto incoming paperwork to be able to scan in and auto attach.

Zebras are the gold standard, and if we need to we can go that way, but does anyone have any other more inexpensive printers that can still be network printers so that we can put these on more peoples desk to make the labeling process as easy as possible?

We like the p-touch brother label printers like this one:
BROTHER, 0.94 in Max. Print Wd, 180 dpi/360 dpi, Label Printer - 40KJ24|PT P700 - Grainger
Not the cheapest, but they work well and the labels are sharp and clean.

Zebra printers don’t seem all that expensive. I think they have come down in price, because I bought an Arkscan @ $188 to save a bunch of money, and looking now that’s barely cheaper than a zebra.

I do see $30 options on amazon if you wanna take a gamble tho :stuck_out_tongue:

I would go with the Zebra ZD4XX series. They work fantastic and are not that expensive.

We would come across this if we were bigger but we got a deal on some discontinued zebras that were pretty cheap.

If you want to talk to a rep that sells all types of different label printers I have a good one (that serves huge companies) and you can ask them this question and get a great response and probably some test units out to you to test.

quality varies a lot
