Information Worker and Msft Office

Although I cannot answer your question directly, I can tell you that
there are major changes between Office 2003, and earlier, and Office
2007.

I'm not surprised that Epicor is requiring a specific version.

As for licensing, under most volume license agreements you can
downgrade. Typically you don't buy licensing that is version specific.
It is implied that at the time you purchase it, it is for the current
version and earlier.

As for price, I don't believe there was a price hike for 2010...it's
always been expensive. :)

Subject: [Vantage] Information Worker and Msft Office

We are wanting to implement our IW product for future purposes. I found
out per EpicWeb that it requires Msft Office 2007 Pro. I've checked on
getting a license for it from Msft and found out 1.) they no longer
offer it licensing agreements for 2007 2.)it's very expensive for 2010
license 3.)they no longer offer basic packages, it's the standard office
package. My questions are, does anyone know why it requires 2007,
second, has anyone had any success using Office 2002/2003 with IW? I
appreciate your assistance.

Mike
