Infragistics style files

That ICE tools manual for 9.05 is now available as a downloadable PDF
from EpicWeb, hiding in the 9.05.603 documentation folder - but not in
the most recent 9.05.607 folder, not sure why. The user manual and
customization guide are also there.

If you don't have the tools manual, there are a couple of Answerbooks on
Epicweb.

for some reason, it also changed the background colors of some text
boxes (like part description on the Part Entry screen, but no other
fields on that screen) to make them look "greyed out". Many grids also
changed the font color to a light color that was barely distinguishable
from the background color. After several hours of trying to make this
workable, we made sure everyone who was in both companies had Company
turned on in the status panel and abandoned Styling (at least on a
global level - some people set up personal styling in some screens and
load it when they need to).

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Good afternoon all,
Â
We have added another company to our Vantage Database (v 8.03.408B) and want to be able to distinguish between the two companies when we are in them.
Â
I noticed that there are "Style Themes" which use Infragistic Style Files. I'm not sure how these work or how to access different files.
Â
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Â
Any help is most appreciated.
Â
Thanks a lot,

I actually set these up early on in 8.03.405 for the exact same reason. The tools manual does a decent job of walking through how to create a theme and set up a filter to determine when it should be used (Company = "xx" kind of thing) and distribute it.

Unfortunately...all I had done was to change the background color on the menu and the menu bar color on the screen, which worked great, but for some reason, it also changed the background colors of some text boxes (like part description on the Part Entry screen, but no other fields on that screen) to make them look "greyed out". Many grids also changed the font color to a light color that was barely distinguishable from the background color. After several hours of trying to make this workable, we made sure everyone who was in both companies had Company turned on in the status panel and abandoned Styling (at least on a global level - some people set up personal styling in some screens and load it when they need to).

Hopefully this problem was site-specific or has been resolved in your version as it really was a great option to have.
