Well I’ve only been to one, but here is my take from last year.
They’ll have the “Solutions Pavillion”, which is where all the vendors, sponsors, and Epicor have their booths set up. They’ll probably have one or two light events here as well, where you can have a drink or two and some snacks while you network with everyone. This is a great place to meet people and get questions answered. It’s pretty much open all the time.
They’ll have a few big events, like they keynote speaker, some demos, the dinner and concert. Not great for networking, but not bad either, if you’ve met some people already.
During the day, they’ll have many sessions, some of them are labs, some are presentations, and some are question / answer. There are a lot, and it can be overwhelming to choose. I recommend consuming the agenda online over a couple of days, and map out the major things you want to see, and in your spare time, or after talking with people, you may hear about other things that interest you.
Breakfast and lunch will be a good time to talk to people, just probably not intensely.
I got a lot of value out of the evenings, when everyone is just hanging out.
A lot of us nerds are secret social butterflies when we are with our “people”, and will gladly share knowledge, especially if you stroke their ego, or buy them a drink
As said before, check out the customer led sessions, they are the best at the conference. Real people, real stories.
It’ll be fun, and you’ll probably be back.
