Intel SSD vs Fussion IO

We have seen similar IO speeds with the Intel PCI-E version,

If so, what sort of improvements have you seen?
I just did a speed test with a fusion card vs. a 8 disk SAS Raid 10 and
the fusion card was 75-83% faster!

A similar test with an OCZ SSD drive only showed a 34% improvement.
(Fusion card went in a PCIE slot and SSD worked thru the SATA Bus)

Our new server with a Fusion card is due here next week!

What did you measure that improvement on? What was the timed improvements for methods and cost differences?

We were approached about purchasing a Fussion IO card but when I said that our database was only 4GB, the salesperson confessed that the advantage would be too small for the cost.

I used SQLIO and several financial reports in Epicor 9 to base my tests
on.

For the price difference I'm trying to figure out what the ROI on one vs the other would be in the frequency of something like those monster financial reports are run and time saved there? How large is your database? We have a 10 GB database and 25 GB or RAM. Currently the IO on my RAID10 OCZ SSDs doesn't even blip the performance graphs in VMWare unless I fire off something like MRP where it looks like a goose bump. The cost differential for the space is astronomical seems like overkill I guess?
