Hey we’re hiring for this position! Principal IT Developer | Epicor Kinetic

Did you know that here at Epicor we run Kinetic to operate our own business? AKA Kinetic@Epicor.
We have been live since late 2016 and the project was called Titan. We started out on 10.1.600 and have gone through upgrades about every 2 years and we are presently on 2022.2.5. We have hundreds of customizations of every flavor you can imagine, namely due to Kinetic not really being an ERP package for software companies. Our internal IT Kinetic developers have access to base source code, hotline/“bat-phone” to product support, access to product development management for fixes, and CSG/TSG/PS help us regularly, too.

Since we are Epicor internal IT, our customers are our internal Epicor business users. Did you know that we also sell hardware, and do WIP jobs, primarily for our retail (Eagle POS Hardware/Software) clients. To give you as sense of our footprint, I’ll list some of the key modules we use internally: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Treasury(Cash/Currency), Order Management, Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping/Receiving, Methods/BOM/Sales Kits, MRP, MES, Kinetic Wireless Warehouse, WIP, Quick Ship, Bartender, ECM/Docstar, IDC/Ancora, SSRS, single global Kinetic instance with over 40 companies/legal entities across the globe and TONS of multi-company transactions. We have about 50 integrations with disparate systems using SSIS, C#, Jitterbit, and most recently Automation Studio (Workato). We have a handful of custom C# Blazor based apps and we have just recently gone live with a custom GL Journal Entry Approvals module that integrates with MS Power Automate and Power Apps. We get all the cool tools :slight_smile:

Internal IT is a separate department from PD, CSG/TSG/PS, etc. After all, we are a CUSTOMER! “We drink our own champagne!” I like to call us Customer #1. We even send a few people from internal IT to Insights every year as customer attendees, just like any other customer. We attend to go to sessions and not to “work the conference” like the rest of the Epicor employees you see there.

Thanks for the reply! We are currently hoping to find someone that is willing to relocate to Austin, TX (preferably since we have a large end user base at our HQ), or Minneapolis, MN (also a descent number of end users and other non-internal IT Kinetic roles/peers). Remote is not out of the question for the right candidate but we much prefer someone in Austin. By the way, we offer a flexible work schedule, including 2 days work from home and 3 days in office per week, and Flex Time Off (FTO) which is in essence unlimited PTO (manager discretion and within reason of course).
