Invalid username or password for system agent

Or create users that just run that class of tasks. For example, have an MRPRUN user that runs the MRP jobss, have a MONTHEND user run those reports, etc. so you don’t have to change it again. Also, those users are restricted to just the work they can do, which is better for security. Reports are trickier since they will pop up for those users only.

Another good point…most of our tasks are under restricted user accounts (i.e. “EDI”, “manager”, etc)…but there are some user-level reports that aren’t.
I just don’t want them falling through the cracks…

Cost of doing business. Someone leaves, it causes issues. You do what you can.

Add it to the termination checklist, and do the appropriate actions.

Proper offboarding (and onboarding for that matter) is mission-critical. Extra time spent up front eliminates extra hours of difficulty.

Yeah lol, they just screwed that up for one of our new hires, an upper management position too lol.

Guy is out there just trying to do his job, and people are like “Who is this a*hole?”.

Turns out they forgot to introduce him except to a few of us. Funny as shit and sad at the same time.

To be fair, we have a maddening amount of stuff going on right now, and they realized they screwed up, so that counts for something I guess.

Been there done that. Too many times. I’ve seen (and made) mistakes on setup and it burns me up. You get one chance for a first impression - if someone’s setup is FUBAR, they’ll have no faith in I/T.

FYI - @Mark_Wonsil - confirmed the issue with the tasks failing on a disabled account - took a deeper dive on it, I think the task was already recreated under another scheduler entry so no real damage done…but good to know what we’re up against. Quick and dirty temporary “workaround” would be to reset the password on the account in question until a complete transition can be done properly.

A much fancier way of saying, “You can pay me now, or pay me later.”

It can be exponentially worse if it isn’t set upfront. Rights to objects, mailboxes, all that crud…sometimes it’s easier to delete and recreate than it is to patch things up.

Whenever I hear that expression, it always comes across as

“… or pay me (a LOT more) later.”

For some reason I remember it from a muffler(?) commercial from way back.

I have zero artistic talent. I am devoid of creativity. Just a knack for hitting the jackpot on searches.

Only funny with the soft G pronunciation.

I know, the inventor of it says it with the soft G, but I just can’t do it.

It’s like saying “croissant” all Frenchy sounding with a W instead of the R.

This is why we got into computers in the first place.

Very true.

He’s with Jod now, so we can say it the correct way.

Yes, with a soft g.
