Inventory/Cylce counts not creating tags for all parts listed

Hello Everyone:
we are just starting to use the Cycle count/physical inventory program in epicor 10. My question is after doing the cycle count or physical inventory and entering in all the tags and creating the variance report. When i go to post the system always barks at me and says not all parts included.

Did you generate any blank tags?

If so did you void the ones you did not use so the system doesn’t see outstanding tags?

Do you have tolerances set? If so, you would have to use reason codes. The error is kind of non-specific.

Something else to watch out for if you are doing just a cycle count is in count tag entry, there’s an activity panel.

These are activities that occurred to the part number during the count. You do have to account for them if you are setup similar to us with a “not allow negatives”.

The other thing I see is if the tag is 0 you have to make sure to check the returned check box. It won’t do that automatically for you.

this is what i am getting every time i post a cycle count. I have check all parts and they do have an ABC code associated with them.

When you generated tags did you include non-nettable bins? Is it possible you have items on your count without inventory? It won’t generate tags if you do not actually have inventory to count. There are a lot of check boxes when you do the count setup. If I recall correctly you would need to check at that point to count 0 QOH items.
