One of my annual goals is to start tracking key metrics within the receiving, shipping, and inventory departments that I manage. A couple examples of some of the KPI’s my manager would like to see are: same day receipts (i.e. UPS drops packages in the morning, they’re received before my team leaves) and on time shipment processing (date in which a pack is marked shipped vs SO Ship By date). I realize something like the receiving metric may not be able to be tracked entirely within Epicor. From an inventory accuracy perspective, we do cycle counts so that is already in place.
We are also a mostly engineered to order job shop and make most things to inventory as they sit a bit before shipping out. We talked about tracking if something is received to stock the same day it is clocked complete.
What other KPIs do you guys track or find helpful? Also looking for ideas on reports, BAQs, and/or dashboards that would help track these and keep some history if possible - if anyone has anything they’d share I’d appreciate it!
