Would restricting the grouping to InvcHead.InvNum, InvHead,OrderNum &
InvcDetail..Orderline create the desired sort?

It's not that simple. The problem occurs when line items are created on
the Invoice during "Get Shipments". Line one on the Sales Order, might
be line 63 on the Invoice. The Invoice is sorted by Line number, but
the lines themselves are wrong.
Our Sales Orders are entered from the customer's Purchase order, so the
customer can match their PO with our Invoice. It is DARN near
impossible to do that now!

How would you like it displayed? Perhaps you can add another sort field
to
the Crystal report. The standard report is written to group on invoice
number and then invoice detail line.

We are on version 6.00.519 and have noticed the same problem. Have
not gotten around to contacting technical support yet, have you
tried? Does not appear to be any logic to the order it is coming up
with either. From talking with my staff it seems this popped up a
couple of patches ago.
