All of the flow downs are checkboxes. If a customer requests a RoHS or REACH compliant build then we flow those requirements.
We build to order, so the sales order has the compliance requirements. A bpm transfers those to the job.
The demand in the po suggestion is matched back to the job and the compliance checkboxes are transferred to the suggestion.
When a PO is generated the compliance checkboxes are transferred into a UD table pre generation and onto the PO post generation.
We have a clauses page at the end of the PO that has a statement for each compliance checkbox.
To track if an assembly can be made RoHS or REACH compliant. We don’t do the amount of banned material by weight declaration process, just compliant or not. All component material is set as Yes/No/Unknown for RoHS and REACH. A sql routine rolls those up to the assembly revision nightly so we know if an assembly is capable of being RoHS or REACH compliant.

I am also interested in how you are handling REACH and RoHS?
And what is required at the PO level?

We do ITAR, DFAR, RoHS, REACH and FAA flow downs. if you buy direct to jobs it is not hard to get the information from sales order to job to PO. If you buy to demand it takes a few more BPMs to get it into PO suggestions and then to the PO. After lots of attempts we came to a solution that gets it done.
Let me know how you buy and I will send you the routines offline.

Are there any users in this group that their company is required to follow ITAR policies who would be willing to share how they dealt with the requirements using Epicor?
