Job issue

I figured it out. First, you need to do a return and make sure that the issue complete is NOT checked. Then, you need to go back into the job, un-engineer it and go to the Assembly. What happens is that is automatically puts in a "Pull Qty". That has to be zeroed out and that will reopen the associated operations for that assembly.

Yes it has changed, you can no longer enter negative quantities in the issue
screens (I can't remember if it was 5.2 or 6.0 where this changed).

The menu is now called Issues/Returns...there is an "issue" column of
buttons (Material, Subassembly, Miscellaneous) and a "return" column of
buttons (same buttons)...

The new menus have the same function, but it's perhaps a little less
confusing for the material handlers (no more remembering to put the negative
sign in, etc.)

As long as you issued a quantity originally you should be able to do a
negative issue. I'm on version 5.0 I don't know if this has changed.

How did you do a negative issue? When I put a negative number in
the quantity, Vantage tells me it won't accept a negative quantity?

We had somebody accidentally issue a sub-assembly to a job even thou we did not have any of that sub-assembly in stock. What that did was close out the need for that sub-assembly. When we run a pick list, that sub-assembly does not show up because Vantage thinks it's already been issued. When we print a traveler, it does not show up there either. Is there a way to back this out of the system? We tried to un-issue it but that only adjust the inventory quantity, it does not reopen that sub-assembly. We can't delete the job because it already has transactions associated with it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jasper

Have you tried doing a negative issue for the subassembly, or is that
what you mean by “un issue”

It won't let me issue a negative quantity. What I meant by un-issue is that they did a return.

Jasper there is an "issue complete" check box just below the required qty
in the issuing screen. There have been times where we negative issued and
the check did not come off. You might have the same problem.
