We are seeing jobs disappear from the Multi Resource Scheduling Board. Seems to happen when people are adding multiple parts to the job. Not necessarily when they add operations though. The Jobs are engineered and scheduled but not released. We schedule them to hold their spot in the schedule, but once engineering starts adding parts the job seems to fall off the schedule.
If engineering is adding parts, that sounds like they must be un-engineering the jobs. This unschedules them too. When engineering finishes their changes, they need to recheck the Engineered flag and the job needs to be re-scheduled.
Out-of-the-box I think you would need engineering to make a note of the scheduled dates for jobs they will be changing and then use that date for re-scheduling, probably by forward scheduling from the original start date.
Also I just found out they aren’t unchecking engineered because they still show on the job scheduling board. It is only when they add parts and then MRSB drops the resource.
If they are not unchecking Engineered and are only adding materials to the job, the job should not drop off the MRSB. Have you been able to recreate the issue in a test environment?
Thank you Jeff. We have not messed with anything in test as of yet. Everything has been done in Live. I will mess with Test a bit and see what happens.
