I am looking for a way to pass information about the job with the material required for the job, without using the Purchase Direct option. We are on 8.03.
My initial thought it that there may be a way to append to the Part Description information that is tied to the job. But, I don't know if this Part Description will get passed through the MRP or not. Would it be simpler to use a UD field and pass it along the MRP process?
Has someone already accomplished this? Is there a better way?
