Plant Manager
Wisconsin Converting Inc.
has been supplying short and medium-run packaging products to the
retail packaging industry for almost 30 years. We are currently seeking a
Plant Manager to oversee all production and warehouse operations of our
manufacturing facility. Located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, WCI
houses machines for paper bag manufacturing with in-line flexographic
printing, post-printing, hot stamping, sheer cutting, paper slitting and
rewinding.

The primary responsibilities for the Plant Manager position include:

  • Provide leadership, direction and manage all operation functions including
  • manufacturing, maintenance, materials, quality, safety, and warehouse
  • and hire and train new employees.
  • Oversee all daily operations of the plant to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Direct activities to achieve deadlines, produce products within quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.
  • Manage production budgets and control expenses effectively.
  • Support new product development.

The ideal candidate for Wisconsin Converting will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering or related field required.
  • Must have five years experience in a manufacturing environment of packaging, paper or printing.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures including strong
  • working knowledge of process improvement methodologies including Lean
  • Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • A high level of proficiency with an ERP/MRP system preferably Epicor ERP, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Achieve and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
