Job performance question

We don't have anything that gets near that large, but as a frame of reference? I just brought up a job that has 208 assemblies and 200 materials and it took 5 seconds to load.

Currently in the middle of an Epicor Implementation we are experiencing what we perceive as a slow system. We are implementing E9.5.700B.

I would like to know how long it takes for others to get details on a job with roughly 100 phantoms and roughly 1,200 parts.

That's a pretty large BOM, i'd expect that to take quite a few seconds to

That is a huge data set I don't have anything that large but I do know that
the tree on Job Entry takes for years to load on huge BOMs like that. If
you don't mind me asking, what do you guys build that you don't split
things into smaller sub assemblies?

Do you have any bpms on Job entry? When we first started we had several and found that jobentry update method is called all over from places like mes start and end activity and issue material.

also if you are calling job entry be sure to use fields to limit the data returned.

I am throwing 1300 parts on a bom and will let you know the speed once the job is made. Speed or the perception of speed was a huge issue for us as we are coming off of telnet.

We didn't do anything to get to 40 seconds; it was just always that slow;
but in light of your time, I guess it was fast.
