Job Scheduling Board - How do you use it?

Good morning,
I am reviewing the job scheduling board. I see that I can move jobs or individual operations around, and then I can see their “what-if” schedule with the yellow bars. I can also approve the change and lock in the what-if date as a real scheduled date.

I would like to know what other jobs will be moved or changed as a result of moving one job or operation. Am I using the board wrong?
Thanks!
Nate

Just curious, if you’ve already played around with Schedule Impact Report?
e.g. maybe run copies of the report before and after Job Scheduling Board work?

This is a cool report! However when I move a job in the scheduling board, I can see the what-if time change. I don’t see any changes to this report.

I wonder… do I need to run global reschedule and choose what-if, to see the other jobs move around?
That seems like a lot of work. It takes about 30 minutes to run global scheduling, so if I need to do that between changes to see the outcome, then this will become a very slow process.

I believe - YES! After waiting another 30 minutes to run global reschedule, I can finally see some values in the schedule impact report. Why can’t I see impact when I just change one job in the job scheduling board?

Hi Nate,

Are your jobs make to job? I suspect that’s the only way moving one job will move another, as long as you select all jobs.

DOH! I forgot to switch it to all jobs, I only choose to move the assembly and operations! I had a feeling there was something easy I missed! Thank you!!!

Is this report available in 10.2.600? I do not see it on my screen. I may need to ask my Administrator to give me access.
