Hello, Everyone:

We have a guy in our purchasing/production control area who is moving to the
Amarillo, Texas or Oklahoma City area. He is very sharp in Vantage and
manufacturing in general, has supervised our shipping and receiving and
inventory areas, understands the "Big Picture" concept of the software-and
isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He has been a great steadying force in
our implementation. If anyone in either of those locations might have a job
opportunity for him (permanent), please contact me off-list.

Thanks.

If you own crystal you can make your own report and assign a search tool to
that. That is what I do for specific Vendor and Customer info.

I think they ruined the Plant and Shipping performance screens as well.
They
were simple to use and very informative in v3. I have no idea what they were
thinking with v4.

"Does anyone else think that the "Vendor Shipping Performance"
in v4 is worthless? This module is much worse now than in
v3. You can't run it by vendor unless you go and manually
edit the query each time you want a different vendor. Editing
those queries are not something for the average user either.
Tech told me that I should export the data to excel and
delete the info I don't want to get a single vendor. Am
I missing something? (I know... buy the EBI module)"

This is not a criticizim of the job search posting. Im just curious how the rest of the users on this feel about job postings. I've considered posting such a message myself but thought that the rest of the group would consider it ... well, inappropriate. Any comments on this subject.

I'm sorry. Didn't mean to offend anyone. I'll consider my hand slapped.

It's not inappropriate at all. Try finding someone that is "familiar" with
Vantage. I only wish the person seeking employment was looking in the
Plymouth - Ann Arbor Michigan area!

I think most people considered it all right as an Off Topic heading and not
done very often. What's annoying is this ad on the top of the page. I am
going to call our sales rep and make the suggestion that Epicor pay to
remove these ads as one user suggested. I can't tell anyone else what to do
but there is strength in numbers.

Please DON'T consider your hand slapped. It is list policy that this is
allowed. And, just so there are no criticisms, the person who posted
earlier joined the list subsequent to the policy being put in effect, so she
did not know either.

So, to refresh everyone - here are the three policy decisions that are
seldom used:

1. Surplus Equipment Postings may be posted on the Vantage list. The
subject line of any such posting must contain the following flag: "[For
Sale] and the post must include a brief description of the item(s) (ie,
routers, hubs, etc). Interested parties must reply privately to the posting
party.

2. Employment Opportunity Postings may be posted on the Vantage list. The
subject line of any such posting must contain the following flag: "[Job
Posting] and must include the city (or region) and state. All replies to
such postings must be made privately to the posting party.

3. Shareware/Custom Program Postings may be posted on the Vantage list.
The subject line of any such posting must contain the following flag:
"[Shareware] and must include info regarding the software function. Again,
interested parties must reply privately to the posting party.
