We made a strong effort on getting the Job split to work but there was a
problem with subcontract operations and DMR's.
We gave up after alot of effort.
Sorry I can't be more specific. I'm just the nerd, not the bean counter<g>
Thanks

Subject: [vantage] Job Splits
G'day - does anyone use the job split function in vantage? I am doing some
testing with it and it does not seem to work well at all if you need to
split off a quantity over or equal to the linked line. We usually link one
line of the sales order to the job and fill the balance from stock created
on the job, therefore the job can be closed after the production is finished
and the linked line is shipped. I have looked at the tutorial, and the ERA
answerbook on the Epicor site - I would like to get some sort of idea of the
logic (or perhaps lack of it) and the processes for using the job split
function in Vantage and then try to apply it to my situation. To me, in the
testing I have done, the logical way does not split the costs evenly - maybe
I am missing something...help!!
PS - we are on 5.10.119
