Job Tracker showing blank JobStatus?

In version 2023.2.14 we are seeing that the JobStatus field in Job Tracker is always blank, even though Jobs are in various states.
If we personalize the columns to add Released, Engineered, Candidate etc to the tracker then those checkboxes provide some insight as to the status, but is it correct that there is really no overall single JobStatus value that could readily be used to indicate the latest status?

I’m not sure what screen/form you’re looking at… maybe the Landing Page (I also don’t have 2023.2, all I have is 2024.1 and 2024.2).

I don’t see any “Job Status” field in either of those versions, either in Classic or Kinetic. There is a field called labelled “Status”, but that field is the Scheduling Status field. Can you tell me what database table/field it is bound to?

Well this is part of the weirdness that I’m seeing.
There is no information provided about the field at all, yet it is a default field in the Job Tracker screen. Field help shows nothing at all.

It looks like the Status field you noted is really only for scheduling status, and - at least in our version - the help reports that field is not currently implemented. Here’s the info on that FWIW, which isn’t what we’re looking for anyway:

I remember never seeing anything in that column… I don’t think it worked. May have been a legacy column, or one they added but never fully developed.

Its not even available in 2024.2

Interesting to know, thanks. At least that would make sense if it has been removed after being not used in recent releases.

I don’t see it as a personalization option for us (jobstatus) in Job Entry/Tracker either… (2024.2.6)

Is it possible that you had a “custom field” in there at one point?

Actually, if memory serves, it may have been there but every job had a status of “pending” or something like that… never seemed to correlate with anything.

Sometimes I really wish I could go back a version or two to compare things.

Highly unlikely. Initial go-live was only in 2023 and was generally vanilla, at least in this area. Only one upgrade since which was summer 2024 and no customizations were dropped at that time either.
