I do not think it "knows" and the switch must be done manually.

Looking for a mfg company with multi-level BOM's and actively
processing ECN's (ECO's). We are relatively new users to Vantage 8.0
and trying to put a process in place to handle all the confusion.
Examples such as- an ECN is put into place, but we already have firm
jobs "in process" that a part could change on (which MRP wouldn't
touch), and we generate an ECN and check a specific part "run out"...
how does it know which part to "switch to" when the QOH is down to
zero (and can you "run out" by whse or bin, not by overall quantity).

If anyone is willing to share some ideas/insight, it would be MUCH
