Key in / Scan Part Number in the Issue Material App

Hey Friends,

I’m trying to allow us to use our scanning capabilities within the Issue Material App. The App only lets the user key in / select a MTLSeq number, not the part number. Has anyone successfully been able to enter in a part number in this screen? We have EKW and it lets them issue by part number (but we are wanting to move away from EKW)

I’m thinking I may need to add a new text field and once the part number is entered, perform a check to see if the part number is on the job then pull back its mtl seq value and populate the oob mtlsequence view. Hmmmm. Thoughts? Thanks a ton!

As I look at the Issue Material screen, I’m seeing the need for a Job Number and associated Assembly and Material. You only mention the need for the Material (MtlSeq) so how are you entering/identifying the other two items?

We scan the job number and only ever have assembly 0

What are you using as your source for the Job Number to scan?

Solved!

I needed to create my own sub type from the service defaults and change these two values under advanced combo properties:

The default TextField is MtlSeq

Way easier than my original thought process!
