Kill an appserver after X amount of time

On versions 8.03.404b, 405a and 407 SQL... I've yet to see MRP fail to complete with one process and one scheduler. But I've seen it stall many times with more than one process.

Subject: [Vantage] Kill an appserver after X amount of time

Is there any solution to killing a Progress Appserver process
(_proapsv..exe) after a defined period of inactivity or
irresponsiveness? (yes, it's really a word) :-)

For example, from time to time if MRP happens to lock up on my 1AM
scheduled process, SysMon will tell you the "Last Activity Time". If
that "Last Activity Time" is greater than 10 minutes ago, then attempt
to stop it.

Is there any solution you all have figured out to fix this? Otherwise,
if MRP runs another time while that previous one is hung, then it
*really* hangs things up. I want to take a vacation one day. :-)

Thank you in advance.
