šŸ«‚ Kinetic - Americas - Extended Maintenance / Outage

Yeah, now I’m really dense. Why would you need conversion workbench to restart the app server? We’re on-prem with a two-box (APP1/SQL1) setup…so we’d just shut down APP1 until it was time to refire. Unless that isn’t available to cloud customers…

They will say this is not downtime. SMH has happened in the past

We’re just now getting the access to reset our app server pool and other server side tools.

Actually there is this very lovely switch (keeps everyone but security managers off)

Since were all past our SLA Service Level Agreement 99.5 percent uptime monthly contracts. Is there a process for asking for Service Credits?

AHA! Now I get it. I assumed all had that capability (cloud or O-P)…so I assumed wrong and it made an ass out of me. Not the first time, won’t be the last.

Some of us special people had it a while  (testers)

Yes but there is some doubt that they will honor it due to semantics that would cause them to consider this as planned maintenance.

Should of specified SaaS.

However, even more reason Epicor should have set this switch during maintenance. Cloud customers can’t at least until the new admin portal when it’s fully build out? If we get the option we’d do it for maintenance windows.

If maintenance activities extend beyond these predefined windows, the additional downtime may be considered unplanned and could count against the SLA uptime calculation.

Have you ever tried to request that? I tried and could never even get them to process the request.

That’s down to the legal departments to fight about. They likely have a bigger one than we do.

I’m have a user who connected around 6:00 PM Sunday night did a hour and have of work. Today the changes are missing.

Our cloud instance is up for us just now. Can we trust it and I can give auth for users to start using the system?

Or best to wait for the ā€œall clearā€ email?

Use at your own risk but I cleared our users to start using as of the 12:10pm CST status update from Epicor.
