Kinetic Dashboard Needs 2 Tries for Some Users

I transformed a classic dashboard into a kinetic one by hand. One of our users gets the dreaded white page the first time she opens the dashboard in the client after a PC restart. 2nd time loads fine. We enabled devtools, and it’s showing an ‘ERR_CACHE_READ_FAILURE’.

Any suggestions on how to get it to work properly the first time?

Thanks!

Have you tried empty cache and hard reload for the users experiencing the issue?

How did you get those options?

Make sure the dev console is open in your browser - then right click the reload button for these options.

Either ‘inspect’ or F12 in most browsers

Hi Connor,

We did ‘Empty Client Cache’ in the client. I’ll find out Tuesday if it is a permanent fix after our user’s nightly restart.

This is on the client (not browser) - I’ll see if there’s a hard reload option, but the 2nd+ time she goes to open it, it works, so a normal close and reload fixes it too.

Ah, we also have a user using the desktop application that has this same problem - they are on a very old machine and usually have many epi tabs open simultaneously.

My thoughts are the computer hardware are at fault but unsure.

Our user is on Win11 with 16GB ram and an SSD. She sees the white blank window even if it’s the first app that’s opened.

I’m on an old Win10 machine with no issues.
