Hello bringing this up a bit on the chain, looking for a new consultant specially on the Ops, Manufacturing side. If anybody out there is interested please let me know will be happy to discuss.
I’m sure the roles are posted, and he provided his email. I wouldn’t expect the full details to be posted here, this isn’t a job board. Occasional “we’re looking for people, here’s a link” posts seem fine to me. If companies started posting full job descriptions and details here, the mods would probably put a stop to it.
The roles are posted on LinkedIn without pay - I looked before posting. I’ve seen others recommend doing so as well as some US states it is the law. Why would you wish to inquire only to realize it’s a waste of time later rather than upfront? Pay transparency is a good thing.
It can be. To comply, many companies list a wildly wide range. It also depends on the position. Large salaries attract talented…and…not so talented people.
@sprieto30 is probably looking for a consultant to join his team at Mayan Technologies. When I was an ERP consultant a looooong time ago, we had a salary and then there was a bonus based on billable hours. Not sure how Mayan does it. I met the folks at Mayan in Las Vegas during Insights this year and everyone was great. A few Mayan folks have been here on the list for a long time and they respect the group’s consultant policy better than most. If you’re interested, check them out.
I still can’t pronounce @Dora’s last name properly since I can’t roll my Rs very well.
I’ve been there with CodaBears and won’t do it again. If someone is charging 175-250/hr for my time, it will be me. Besides, I have a great job that pays fairly without having to work 45-60 hours a week to make bonus.
My intention here was simply in everyone’s best interest, including Mayan, and out of curiosity. Places like ComTec Solutions appear to be open with their range.
That’s called complying with the letter of the law. That isn’t transparency. Transparency would be listing the real range, which all employers should be doing. Why hide what you want to pay unless you are trying to underpay?
I agree with what you’re saying. It may be more nuanced than workers wanting to make the most and companies wanting to pay the least. Just this week, the WSJ reported that people are taking 25% less to work from home. That is a big variance right there. Should companies report two salary ranges?
I was honestly not expecting such a polarizing reaction, I was simply gauging interest as some people might be looking for a different opportunity. We wont be doing it again, this seemed to have touch some very sensitive fibers.
