Kinetic Purchase Order Entry: How to override default ShipName

After much grinding and gnashing of teeth, we have determined that the default shipping address is set to the Site address.

The problem for us, is that the Site Name is the city we are in, rather than the company name. So the POHeader.ShipName field defaults to Louisville, which isn’t a good ShipName. We’d rather have the company name be the default ShipName.

Requirement: When creating a new PO, default the ShipName to our company name.

As a Kinetic noob, I understand that I need to create an event to fire after a new PO is created and after the other default values are populated.

I’m not sure exactly how to accomplish that.

Looks like I may have stumbled upon the answer.

Would like confirmation that it makes sense.

It is triggered After event AfterGetNew.

It does a RowUpdate to the POHeader.ShipName.

It seems to work.

Appreciate confirmation (or refutation) from experts here.
