Ever since we converted to SaaS/cloud in April we have experienced brief outages. They started out as a weekly thing. Now they’ve gotten more frequent, this week daily and even twice a day.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? If so, what was the resolution?
It is not our internet connection, it happens to everyone, whether they are in the building or remote.
I can count on one hand how many outages I’ve had in 3 years SaaS.
Not including national, regional, or local events obviously.
I’d be both doing my own investigation as well as working with support.
That’s not normal.
This might (probably) is a stupid question, but your remote workers aren’t tunneled to your main office or anything, right?
What version are you on? We had an issue with JSON files corrupting the cache. We had to open application studio to clear the cache and then people could access the various apps.
No, remote workers are not using a VPN connection to our office at all. They are straight up using their own internet service from their homes. Some are in different states even so it’s not like it’s the specific service provider in town. I’ve checked with our provider and they don’t see anything in their service logs that would indicate a sudden loss of bandwidth or anything like that. As a matter of fact, I can do a speedtest and hit the same speeds as I do when we aren’t having this ‘outage’ and our phones work (VOIP).
Epicor has moved our servers to ‘a different cluster’. That didn’t resolve the issue and it seems worse since then.
We are on the latest 2024.1.? since we are SaaS.
Was your issue with JSON causing outages for all users at once, regardless of what app they were in? We cannot even login when this happens.
We could log in, but we would get the system admin error at the same time. If you cannot login, this sound different. This is the number - PRB0276094, but it was on 2023.1 I believe.
