Kinetic Terminology

Is there a document anywhere that teaches us the ‘right’ way to refer to the various clients, UI types, etc?

For example, a lot of us refer to the ‘new’ UI as ‘Kinetic UI’. However, Kinetic is actually the new name of the Epicor ERP application as a whole. The UI I think has a separate name?

Is the desktop client referred to as ‘Classic’ client, ‘Smart’ client, etc?

I find myself being inconsistent in how I refer to these things. I was wondering if anyone has it all straightened out…

Thanks

Kinetic was the new UI name before they changed the product name. There isn’t really consistency within Epicor. So a document from them would be good so we’d all be on the same page but I’m not aware of one.

It would be nice. but until then…

Internally, the ‘new’ UI is built on the MetaFX framework. :person_shrugging:

Crypto?

Still trying to figure out what to call the mobile warehouse app.

I refer to it as Classic UI vs Web UI. #Shrug

EMW is something Epicor outsourced to Biscut (sp?). It’s not Kinetic, but I believe it is a web app in an Android wrapper, so it’s not entirely dissimilar either.

Everytime I read it, I see EWW.

Because it’s gross?

I’m not sure, it’s just what I see.
